I use it every single time I am building or repairing saws
It is really a must have you know.
This Silicone Grease, which is actually almost clear in colour really really helps you fit AV rubbers as well as spark plug boots, fuel hoses, impulse hoses etc...
 
This Grease is also the stuff you need if you are working on Braking Systems of all types as well, like Master Cylinders, Clutch Cylinder and Slave Cylinders.
 
It's well price for you buy to add it to your tool kit
To apply use the end of a spiked tool, like an engineers awl or a chainsaw file ground to a point.
If you wish to cut the file in half, this you will find, creates a more useful tool for the application of this grease
