STIHL / AET 08 041 042 045 048 051 056 070 090 Condenser # 1115 404 3400

Genuine AET / STIHL Condensor which is an integral part of the Ignition assembly as it stores the High Voltage Current before discharge to the spark plug (when the points open).
These are of the highest quality and as many of the early STIHL saws using Points. As these models  are getting on in years these sometimes need to be changed out.
If in doubt check your saws IPL / Parts List.
STIHL used to use BOSCH to make them for but for 10 or 15 years now they have used AET in Slovenia. So this is an OEM part, in other words high end European Quality.
When fitting, you need to tap it into the hole in the stator plate using a socket or a block of wood with a hole drilled into it, so as you are tapping, only on the outer edge of the condensor.
