Oh!... Please check your serial number and make sure of the MS462 ipl
that you are buying the right cylinder for your 462.
The clearest way to know of course it to pull the motor apart so you can see which style you have.
The earlier saws use the "notched" cylinder, the piston is notched as well.  This style is part no 1142 020 1201 and note: THEY ARE NOT INTERCHANGABLE!
We will list the earlier style soon as we know some of you have the earlier style of saw.
