Older filters can lose their flock coverage over time (it breaks down) and it can be hard to see too, if you look closely you will see that it is missing and you should notice some small holes straight through the filter body, which of course allows saw dust direct access to you motor, which is never good!
This Filter is the flock type so will benefit from the application of Air Filter Oil. The spray on type is very good as we stock that but if you do not have spry oil, then after cleaning the filter dip it into some two stroke mix as this will leave a film of oil on the filter which helps to catch the dust.
Do not buy cheap imitations of this products as they are very thin and do not seal well at all. (I have seen them on the occasional customers saws).
